Job summary

Consor in Draper, Utah seeks a motivated Structural/Bridge Engineer to join our growing Structural/Bridge Engineering Group. You will design and check bridges and related structures, collaborating with senior engineers and taking on increasing leadership responsibilities.

You will perform analyses, develop plans and specifications, and engage with clients and local agencies in a hybrid office/field environment. Opportunity for growth and professional development.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of civil/structural engineering experience focused on bridge design.
• Professional licensure as PE or SE, or ability to obtain licensure within a reasonable timeframe.
• Experience with bridge design principles, methodologies, and current AASHTO LRFD standards.
• Strong knowledge of concrete and steel design.
• Proficiency with Bentley OpenRoads Designer (ORD) / MicroStation-based platforms and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with additional software such as Mathcad, RISA, LEAP Bridge, AutoCAD Civil 3D is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support structural and bridge design tasks within an integrated engineering team.
• Mentor junior staff and EITs.
• Perform structural/bridge analysis, calculations, load-rating evaluations, and design checks.
• Develop and review structural/bridge plans, specs, estimates, and supporting documents.
• Conduct conceptual engineering studies and provide recommendations.
• Support and lead preliminary engineering and final design efforts.
• Prepare high-quality technical reports and design summaries.
• Coordinate with project managers, local governments, and UDOT.
• Participate in client meetings, presentations, and proposals as needed.
