Job summary

Lochmueller Group in Ohio is seeking an experienced Bridge Engineer / Project Manager to lead bridge design and project delivery for transportation structures. Columbus is preferred, but qualified candidates across Ohio will be considered.

You will manage multi-disciplinary teams, pursue ODOT and local agency work, and ensure QA/QC while mentoring staff. Lochmueller Group offers a 100% employee‑owned culture and a chance to influence communities through quality design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering or a related field, structural emphasis preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) License in Ohio.
• 10+ years of experience in bridge/structural design, including PM on ODOT projects.
• Experience with pursuits, proposals, or client development preferred.
• Experience with MicroStation and OpenBridge Modeler; OpenRoads a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Project Manager/Project Engineer for bridge and structural design projects including local agency and ODOT work.
• Manage all aspects of project delivery: tasks, budgets, schedules, resources, and staffing plans.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate meetings, proposals, and stakeholder coordination.
• Mentor junior staff and collaborate with senior leadership to deliver successful projects.
