Job summary

Horner & Shifrin is seeking a full-time Bridge Project Engineer in our Structural Business Unit, with offices in O'Fallon, MO; O'Fallon, IL; Chicago, IL; NW Arkansas; Marion, IL; and St. Louis, MO. This role requires 5+ years of experience and a PE license.

You will perform calculations for bridges and related structures, develop and check drawings and estimates, and contribute to reports and studies. IL-PE preferred; MicroStation and bridge design software proficiency required; valid driver's

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering required.
• Master of Science in Civil Engineering preferred.
• Licensed Professional Engineer designation required.

Responsibilities

• Follow Bridge Practice standards and procedures as directed by Project Manager.
• Perform and check structural calculations for bridges, walls, and related structures.
• Prepare and check construction drawings to meet requirements.
• Develop and check cost estimates.
• Contribute to reports and studies.

Strong written/verbal communication

Background check
