Job summary

Pennoni Associates seeks a Project Bridge Engineer to join the State College, PA office. Responsibilities include leading bridge rehabilitation and replacement design projects with limited supervision and coordinating with multiple disciplines.

You will assist in proposals and prepare plans, load ratings, calculations, and PS&E packages. The role requires knowledge of PennDOT design and rating software, strong communication skills, and potential supervision of junior staff.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of PennDOT bridge design, analysis and rating software
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience coordinating multi-discipline teams preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead bridge and culvert rehabilitation or replacement design projects with limited supervision
• Coordinate with roadway, traffic, geotechnical, civil, and environmental disciplines
• Attend meetings and interact with clients; assist in proposals for new work
• Prepare bridge designs, load ratings, calculations, construction plans, specs, estimates, and schedules for PennDOT submissions
