Job summary

Hoyle Tanner is seeking a Bridge Project Engineer in its Transportation Division in Chelmsford, MA. The role focuses on leading a multi-disciplinary team on significant bridge projects, with budget and schedule management and client coordination.

Qualified candidates will have 5–10 years of bridge design experience, a BS/MS in Civil/Structural Engineering, and a PE license in NH/MA/ME/VT. The position offers flexible scheduling and potential remote work opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience in bridge engineering.
• Current PE license in NH, MA, ME, or VT.
• Experience with MaineDOT, NHDOT, VTrans or MassDOT and municipal bridge projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multi-disciplinary project team on bridge projects.
• Develop budgets, scopes of services, and schedules with guidance from senior staff.
• Provide client coordination, progress updates, and presentations.
• Coach and mentor entry-level and staff engineers.
• Conduct site visits and meetings with clients and contractors.
