Job summary

The City of Cincinnati is seeking a Senior Engineer to join the Bridge Program in the Department of Transportation and Engineering. You will design, inspect, and manage bridges, support buildings and utility projects, and coordinate with architects, planners, inspectors and other stakeholders.

Role includes life-cycle project management, consultant oversight, bidding, and construction through completion. Requires PE licensure in Ohio or eligibility and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Requires licensure as Professional Engineer in Ohio or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering required at hire.
• Engineer-in-Training acceptable if pursuing PE.
• Proven experience in design, plans review and construction management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering drawings, project plans, construction plans, and specifications.
• Review plans and calculations, ensure constructability and regulatory compliance.
• Manage projects, budgets, schedules and contractor coordination.
• Provide technical guidance and support to city departments and stakeholders.
