Job summary

EMH&T is seeking a Bridge Engineer, PE in Columbus, OH to join the Transportation Planning & Design team. You will lead structural design efforts for bridges and related structures, coordinating with project teams and clients to address design and construction challenges.

The role requires a PE license in Ohio and experience with concrete and steel bridge design, CAD tools, and public transportation projects. On-site work in Columbus is expected with a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Ohio professional engineer license required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural emphasis.
• Design experience with reinforced concrete, prestressed concrete, straight/curved steel beams.
• Experience with CAD/design software including OpenRoads/OpenBridge Designer and AutoCAD Civil3D.
• Public transportation projects familiarity with ODOT/AASHTO specs.
• Bridge inspection experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and task management for structural projects supporting public/private infrastructure.
• Prepare plans, estimates and construction specifications, and provide field support.
• Develop reports, plans and designs for projects of varying size and clients.
