Job summary

Stripe is seeking an experienced accountant to join the world-class Accounting team, focusing on Bridge products. You will apply US GAAP expertise to assess implications, advise cross-functional partners, and ensure timely month-end close for Bridge products.

Minimum requirements include 7+ years in public accounting or industry, a bachelor’s in accounting/finance, and a professional qualification (CA/CPA/ACA/ACCA/CIMA).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (CA/CPA/ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls.
• Experience with monthly/quarterly close, audits, and regulatory reporting.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills for financial audiences.
• Ability to build automated processes and scalable controls.
• Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform monthly close activities and journal entries.
• Reconcile accounts and prepare analytic reviews and reports.
• Advise on accounting implications for new products and contracts.
• Collaborate with business and finance teams to understand product features.
• Improve financial systems and automate accounting processes.
• Assess internal controls and design scalable controls for new activities.
• Support external audit processes.
