Job summary

F2 Finance LLC in Santa Monica, CA is seeking an experienced Underwriter to join our fast-moving real estate lending team. You will support underwriting and processing of residential bridge loans, review borrower and property data, and help build our AI underwriting and processing system for improved efficiency and accuracy.

You will collaborate with loan officers, brokers, title, escrow, and other parties to move files toward closing, while maintaining high attention to detail and strong

Qualifications

• Direct experience in loan processing and/or underwriting.
• Experience in private lending, hard money lending, residential bridge lending, or real estate finance.
• Ability to work in-office in Santa Monica, CA.
• Strong understanding of loan files, borrower documents, property diligence, title, escrow, insurance, payoff statements, and closing conditions.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify missing information and risk factors.

Responsibilities

• Review new loan submissions and organize borrower, broker, and property information.
• Assist with underwriting residential bridge and related real estate loans.
• Prepare underwriting summaries, loan notes, and approval materials.
• Coordinate diligence and ensure documents are complete and accurate.
• Manage loan file checklists and handoff to closing.
• Help test and improve AI-driven underwriting and processing workflows.
