Job summary

HDR is offering a Summer 2027 Bridge Intern position in Dallas, TX. This internship provides real-world experience in transportation structural engineering under the guidance of a Project Manager and senior engineers.

You’ll apply standard engineering techniques and support project work within HDR’s employee-owned culture. We welcome undergraduates or graduates enrolled in an Engineering program who demonstrate attention to detail, problem-solving, and strong communication skills, with a 3.0 GPA

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.
• Preference for local/regional candidates pursuing a Master’s in Structural Engineering during Summer 2027.

Join HDR during Summer 2027 for an internship in our Transportation Business Group focusing on Bridge.

In the role of Bridge Intern, we’ll count on you to:

• Participate in real-world experience on exciting projects
• Connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professional’s programs
• Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures
• Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager
• Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0 GPA
• Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry
• Preference given to local/regional candidates pursuing their Master’s in Structural Engineering during summer 2027

Required Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program
• Attention to detail
• Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Basic Microsoft Office skills
