Job summary

HDR invites motivated students to join the Summer 2027 Bridge Internship in our Transportation Business Group. This role targets exposure to bridge design projects, supervision by experienced engineers, and practical application of standard engineering methods.

You will collaborate with a team of professionals, gain industry insight, and contribute to real projects while developing technical and communication skills in a collaborative, employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
• Attention to detail and rigorous approach to tasks.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills expected.

Responsibilities

Summer 2027 Bridge Internship

Join HDR during Summer 2027 for an internship in our Transportation Business Group focusing on Bridge.

Role Responsibilities

• Participate in real‑world experience on exciting projects
• Connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professional's programs
• Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures
• Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager
• Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA
• Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry
• Preference given to local/regional candidates pursuing their Master’s in Structural Engineering during summer 2027
