Job summary

M&J Engineering P.C. is seeking qualified Bridge Inspectors to support CTDOT's bridge inspection programs. Responsibilities include performing inspections of highway bridges, documenting structural conditions, and preparing reports.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of bridge inspection experience meeting FHWA NBIS qualification requirements.
• FHWA-approved NBIS Bridge Inspection Training certification required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Connecticut is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and special bridge inspections following NBIS.
• Document condition of bridge components.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports with field notes and sketches.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering

Associate degree in Engineering Technology with bridge inspection experience
