M&J Engineering P.C. is seeking a Bridge Inspection Team Leader in Connecticut to oversee and execute bridge inspections.
This role includes leading a team of bridge inspectors, ensuring adherence to safety standards, and successfully delivering documented reports. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and a minimum of 5 years of inspection experience, along with a Professional Engineer license in Connecticut. Bridge Inspection Team Leader is responsible for managing and executing bridge inspections in compliance with the National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS) and CTDOT Bridge Inspection Manual. This role includes supervising inspection personnel, coordinating field activities, ensuring quality and safety compliance, and delivering accurate, well-documented inspection reports for inclusion in CTDOT’s bridge management systems.
The position involves a combination of field leadership, technical oversight, coordination with agency stakeholders, and report review.
