Job summary

M&J Engineering P.C. is looking for Construction Inspectors to support Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) projects including highways, bridges, and rail infrastructure. The role requires monitoring contractor work and ensuring compliance with contract documents.

Ideal candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, or a High School diploma with NICET Level I. Strong communication skills and experience in field inspections are essential.

Qualifications

• Field inspection experience on transportation or civil construction projects.
• Ability to interpret plans, specifications, codes, and contract documents.
• Familiarity with CTDOT Form 819 and digital documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and verify construction work for compliance with standards.
• Prepare daily inspection reports, photographs, and documentation.
• Coordinate with project staff, contractors, and CTDOT representatives.

Skills
