Job summary

Mid-Atlantic Engineering Group is launching a South Carolina practice seeking a Senior Bridge Inspector to lead NBIS, DOT and AASHTO inspections statewide. You will mentor field crews, set schedules and client touchpoints for highway, rail and related structures, and use drones, LiDAR, ultrasonic tools to detect issues early.

You'll balance travel (about 50% or less, with occasional overnight travel to our Virginia headquarters) and contribute to regional infrastructure decisions.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in bridge inspection or structural engineering.
  • Deep knowledge of DOT regulations and bridge-management systems.
  • Leadership experience guiding field teams and mentoring junior staff.
  • Valid driver''s license.

Responsibilities

  • Lead & mentor inspection crews performing NBIS, DOT and AASHTO work statewide.

  • Advance the craft using non-destructive tools to identify issues early.
  • Shape regional infrastructure with element-level inspections to keep communities moving.
