Job summary

Clark Nexsen in Virginia Beach is seeking a Bridge Inspection Team Leader to perform NBIS inspections on bridges, culverts, and related structures. You will plan inspections, lead field activities, and prepare reports, while also contributing to engineering design with limited supervision.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in in-service bridge safety inspections, NBIS qualifications, and experience with design computations using Bentley tools. Office and field work are balanced.

Qualifications

• 4+ years' experience in performing in-service bridge safety inspections and bridge/culvert/retaining wall design.
• Qualify as a Bridge Safety Inspection Team Leader per NBIS standards.
• FHWA approved comprehensive bridge inspection safety course completed.

Responsibilities

• Lead in-service bridge safety inspections as a Team Leader.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate inspections across projects.
• Prepare inspection reports and design computations as needed.
• Coordinate design activities and assist in preparing contract plans and estimates.
• Attend client meetings and document minutes; oversee junior engineers.
