Job summary

ATANE is seeking a Junior Bridge Engineer for our Bridge Inspection Group in Edison, NJ. Under supervision, you will perform field inspections on highway and railroad bridges, sign structures, and high masts to detect deficiencies and safety hazards while ensuring conformance to safety regulations and bridge specs.

Responsibilities include reviewing reports, updating CAD drawings, and creating new inspection reports per owners' standards.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited civil engineering degree required.
• Minimum 2 years of bridge inspection/design experience preferred.
• Physically able to perform field work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel).
• Valid driver's license with clean MVR.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspection on highway and railroad bridges, sign structures, and high masts to detect structural deficiencies and safety hazards.
• Review previous reports, update CAD drawings, and create new inspection reports.
