Job summary

Kokosing is seeking Carpenters with experience in form work for bridges and structures to work on heavy highway projects in the Northern VA/DC/MD area. Location: Wallops Island, VA. Must have own hand tools and be able to work off fall protection.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, assembling forms, setting up timber and anchor bolts, and assisting in pouring and finishing concrete. Competitive pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in bridge form work or carpenter training; reads blueprints and sketches.
• Ability to perform essential duties with proper safety practices.
• Physical ability to stand, lift, and work on uneven surfaces.

Responsibilities

• Work tied off to fall protection and use hand/power tools.
• Read blueprints/bridge plans to determine material needs.
• Measure, cut, and lay out lumber; construct forms for concrete.
• Brace forms, assemble wood deck forms, and set anchors.
• Pour and finish concrete under supervision; erect scaffolding.
