Job summary

Kokosing is seeking Carpenters with experience in form work for bridges and heavy highway projects. Work will be in the Northern VA/DC/MD area, with locations including Wallops Island, VA. Must have carpentry training or bridge form-work experience and be capable of reading blueprints and rulers.

Competitive base pay and strong safety culture. Responsibilities include constructing forms, measuring and marking materials, and erecting scaffolding as part of concrete pours.

Qualifications

• Reading blueprints and rulers to determine material needs.
• Ability to read construction drawings for bridge structures.
• Experience with form work on bridges and heavy highway projects.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to work while tied off to fall protection.
• Skilled in use of necessary hand and power tools.
• Must be able to work with level.
• Study blueprints to determine material requirements.
• Select lumber or other materials and prepare layout.
• Measure and mark cutting lines on materials; shape to spec.
• Construct forms and chutes and brace in place for concrete.
• Assemble and fasten materials; erect scaffolding and ladders.
