Job summary

FNF Construction, Inc. in Abilene, TX is seeking a Carpenter to perform skilled and semiskilled construction work on highway, bridge, and general infrastructure projects.

You will fabricate and install formwork, assist with concrete placement and finishing, and operate a wide range of hand and power tools. The Carpenter must read and interpret construction plans, follow directions from the Project Superintendent, and ensure all work meets codes and project specs.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of carpentry experience in construction.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings and layout.
• Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and maintain high-quality workmanship.
• General construction knowledge and familiarity with industry safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform highway and bridge structure formwork, including curb and gutter form fabrication.
• Assist masons with placing and finishing concrete, including flatwork and structural elements.
• Read and interpret construction plans, basic design documents, and specifications.
• Ensure work complies with applicable Building Code requirements.
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools efficiently and safely.
• Perform physical labor as needed to support project progress.
• Follow directions from the Project Superintendent and work effectively as part of a field crew.
