ARCHER WESTERN is hiring a Carpenter for the GDOT SR 316 Bundle 2 project in Athens-Clarke, GA. The role focuses on constructing, erecting, and installing wooden structures for heavy civil projects using hand and power tools, in commercial and industrial settings.

This position offers exposure to nationwide projects through ARCHER WESTERN's Building, Transportation, and Water Divisions, plus access to training and advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years verifiable carpentry experience (preferred).
• Ability to climb and maintain balance on scaffolds/ladders.
• Lift up to 50 lbs; work in varied weather conditions.
• Comply with safety policies and communicate effectively with team to ensure quality.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Good manual dexterity; capable of standing, bending, kneeling or sitting for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Measure distances and mark guidelines for layout.
• Build and install wooden structures per prefab units for bridges/walls.
• Assist with installation of awnings or metal decking for concrete slabs as needed.
• Operate carpentry tools and machinery safely and efficiently.
