Pennoni is hiring a Survey Crew Chief to support Transportation & Land Development projects in the Milton, DE area. This full-time role leads bridge surveying operations, field surveys, and data collection, ensuring accuracy and safety in the field.

The position requires 5+ years of field/land surveying experience, a valid driver’s license, and proficiency with total stations, GPS, and robotic instruments. Team leadership and excellent communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or equivalent).
• 5+ years of professional field/land surveying or construction experience.
• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work in the field and deliver accurate results.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex bridge surveying operations measuring roadway layout, utilities, slope and elevation.
• Lead field surveying with geodetic surveys for boundary, topo, construction and land surveying projects.
• Operate total stations, data collectors, GPS systems and robotic instruments.
• Gather field data by conventional, robotic, GPS or aerial methods (drones).
• Prepare field notes and drawings for complex survey calculations.
• Train survey crew in surveying methods, equipment use and safety procedures.
• Perform computations and QA/QC checks.
• Safely operate ATV/UTV as needed.
• Deliver high-quality work for support services and end products.
