gpac LLC. is seeking an experienced Bridge Estimator to prepare cost estimates for public bridge construction projects and oversee bidding processes.

You will develop competitive bid strategies, evaluate costs, and coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to secure projects. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Construction Management and 5+ years in bridge-heavy construction, with strong numerical and communications skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience with bridge-intensive construction projects.
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HCSS HeavyBid or equivalent estimating software.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to adapt and perform in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Analyze contract documents, construction plans, specifications, and project scopes.
• Develop project bid strategies in coordination with management.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and conduct field inspections as needed.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to solicit competitive pricing.
• Verify project quantities and determine appropriate labor, equipment, resources, and productivity rates.
• Evaluate design alternatives and recommend cost-effective solutions to improve bid competitiveness.
• Review and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Prepare and submit accurate, competitive bid proposals.
• Negotiate and secure contracts for awarded projects.
• Negotiate and finalize project subcontracts and purchase orders.
• Monitor job costs on active projects and use cost information to improve future estimating accuracy.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships while supporting customer satisfaction.
