Job summary

gpac LLC. is seeking an experienced Bridge Estimator to prepare cost estimates for public bridge construction projects and oversee bidding activities.

You will develop competitive bid strategies, coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers, and help secure new project opportunities. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of bridge-heavy project experience and strong analytical skills, with proficiency in MS Office and HCSS HeavyBid.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Five or more years of bridge-intensive construction experience.
• Strong quantitative and analytical problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office and HCSS HeavyBid or equivalent estimating software.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Analyze contract documents, plans, specifications and project scopes.
• Develop bid strategies in coordination with management.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and conduct field inspections as needed.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to solicit competitive pricing.
• Verify quantities and determine labor, equipment and productivity rates.
• Evaluate design alternatives and improve bid competitiveness.
• Review subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Prepare and submit accurate, competitive bid proposals.
• Negotiate and secure contracts for awarded projects.
• Negotiate and finalize subcontracts and purchase orders.
• Monitor job costs on active projects and improve estimating accuracy.
• Build and maintain customer relationships to support satisfaction.
