Job summary

French & Parrello Associates in Wall Township, NJ is seeking an experienced Assistant Chief Engineer – Bridge to provide technical leadership for complex bridge projects across New Jersey and the region. You will mentor engineers, guide design and rehabilitation efforts, and ensure quality across plans, analyses, and reports.

The role requires 15+ years in bridge design, a PE license (NJ/NY/PA preferred), and mastery of AASHTO LRFD standards, with a track record of delivering high‑impact

Qualifications

Requires 15+ years in bridge design and structural engineering
Experience delivering complex bridge projects and rehabilitation
NJ/NY/PA licensure preferred or reciprocity possible

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership for complex bridge design, rehabilitation, and transport projects
Mentor engineers and guide project delivery teams
Oversee QA/QC reviews of plans, calculations, and reports
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and agencies (NJDOT, counties, municipalities)
Support business development, proposals, and client engagements
