HDR, Inc. is seeking a Bridge Engineer in Anchorage, AK. You will apply structural design and detailing to bid plans for bridges and related structures, utilizing software like LEAP, LARSA, CSiBridge, and more.

You will perform load calculations, assist with geometry, and may lead small to mid-size projects while mentoring junior staff. The role requires a PE license (AK) or equivalent, plus 3+ years of bridge design experience and strong communication.

Competenze

PE license or equivalent professional registration.
AK licensure or eligibility for SE license in Alaska.
3+ years of experience in bridge design including calculations and plan development.
Experience in project management for small to mid-size projects.
Active involvement in professional/industry associations.
Excellent communication skills and teamwork.

Mansioni

Apply structural design and detailing to bridge bid plans for highways and related structures.
Select standard engineering procedures and develop structural details using design software.
Perform structural load calculations and assist with geometry and quantity development.
Bridge inspection and load rating calculations; CAD plan production may be required.
Serve as project manager or lead on projects; review junior staff work and provide guidance.
Collaborate with team and external stakeholders to ensure quality and on-time delivery.
