Early-career engineers will inspect, analyze, and help design bridges while working under licensed engineers in a fast-paced, field-and-office environment.

This role emphasizes mentorship, PE exam support, and opportunities to participate in summer inspection trips and bridge research projects.

Qualifications

• Bridge engineering tasks related to inspections, analysis, and design.
• Ability to work with licensed engineers on calculations, plans, and cost estimates.
• Willingness to travel across Alaska for inspections and field work.

Responsibilities

• Conduct bridge inspections and analyze existing structures.
• Assist in designing new bridges and overseeing construction projects.
• Perform structural analysis, calculations, and prepare plans, specifications, cost estimates, and reports.
• Draft specifications for construction contracts and create structural details.
• Calculate quantities and prepare related documentation under supervision.
