Job summary

HDR is seeking a Bridge Engineer to apply structural engineering and detailing on highway and railway projects. You will work on bridges including steel plate girder, pretensioned concrete, segmental and cable types, and related structures, using a range of design tools.

Preferred candidates hold a Master's in Structural Engineering and 3+ years in bridge design, with PE license. Strong communication and teamwork are essential in HDR's employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and PE license experience required.
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering preferred.
• 3+ years in bridge design with structural detailing experience.

Responsibilities

• Apply structural engineering and detailing techniques.
• Work on bridges, box culverts, and interchange design for highway/railway projects.
• Develop structural details using specialized software and perform load calculations.
• Review and check design calculations, estimates, and specifications.
• Assist with geometry, quantity development and mentoring junior engineers.
