Job summary

Stantec in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Bridge Engineer to join the growing Transportation design team. You will contribute to the design of bridges and other transportation structures, collaborating with engineers and field staff to deliver safe, durable solutions.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of bridge engineering experience, a BS in Civil Engineering (MS preferred), and a PE license in Georgia or South Carolina or the ability to obtain within 12 months.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years structural engineering experience on bridges and transportation structures.
• PE registration in GA or SC or the ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Experience with AASHTO Bridge Design Specifications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare structural design calculations, plans and contract documents per standards (GDOT/SCDOT, AASHTO, ACI, AISC).
• Develop plan submissions for structural transportation projects.
• Perform structural analysis on new designs and existing bridges.
• Lead design alternatives and cost-effective solutions.
• Lead and review design plans and load ratings.
• Inspect simple to complex bridges and prepare inspection reports.
