Job summary
Stantec seeks a Bridge Design Manager to lead engineering teams on major infrastructure projects and pursuits. The role focuses on design development, construction phase services, and mentorship within a Bridges and Structures team.
Based in the Southeast region with some travel, the position emphasizes leadership, technical expertise in bridge design, and collaboration with agencies such as SCDOT, NCDOT, and GDOT to deliver safe, innovative transportation solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering is required.
- A master's degree is a plus.
- PE license or ability to obtain PE license in South Carolina is required.
- 10+ years of experience in structural bridge design is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Oversee design development and project deliverables for bridges and related infrastructure.
- Provide technical assistance in resolving complex problems.
- Oversee construction phase services on behalf of the Designer of Record.
- Lead design projects in Design/Bid/Build and Design/Build environments.
- Mentor bridge engineers and ensure QA/QC on deliverables.
- Coordinate with clients including submittals, meetings, and invoicing.
- Assist in proposals and presentations for pursuits and public meetings.
- Develop conference papers and presentations.
