Job summary

GAI Consultants, Inc is seeking an experienced Bridge Engineer to join our Indiana Transportation Team in Fishers. You will work on INDOT and local projects, contributing to plans, calculations, and designs for transportation structures.

The role emphasizes teamwork, mentoring, and adherence to quality standards, with opportunities to collaborate across states and with senior engineers while delivering durable, code-compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• P.E. license in Indiana is required or applicants must be actively pursuing licensure.
• Experience with INDOT standards, design manuals, and federally funded project deliverables.
• Experience delivering projects for Local Municipalities and Counties.
• Proficient in bridge design software and structural analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan, calculations, and specifications for transportation structures per AASHTO/INDOT.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to solve project challenges.
• Contribute to scope and fee proposals and letters of interest.
• Provide leadership and technical guidance to project teams.
• Ensure quality control and compliance with client requirements.
