Job summary

Fishbeck, Thompson, Carr & Huber in Indianapolis, IN seeks a Bridge Engineer to support our Indiana Transportation team on INDOT and local municipality projects. You will work on bridge design, analysis, plan preparation and hydraulic studies, with some fieldwork for inspections and load ratings.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Civil Engineering with 0–4+ years' bridge experience; EIT is preferred, PE license a plus. Hybrid schedules and ongoing professional development are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent required.
• 0–4+ years bridge engineering experience preferred.
• EIT certification desired; PE license is a plus.
• Working knowledge of AASHTO LRFD and related design software is a plus.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Work on bridge design, analysis, calculations, plan prep and hydraulic analysis.
• Support fieldwork related to inspections, scoping and load rating.
• Assist in budgets, schedules, reports, and technical documentation.
• Apply civil engineering principles and design software to transport projects.
• Collaborate across disciplines to deliver bridge design for INDOT and local municipalities.
