In the role of Bridge Designer/EIT, you'll:

1. Apply structural engineering and detailing techniques in bridge design development.
2. Work on projects involving bridge types (steel plate girder, prestressed concrete, segmental, cable), box culvert, and interchange design for highway and railway projects.
3. Perform structural load calculations and assist with geometric layout and quantity development.
4. Select standard engineering procedures and develop structural details using specialized software.
5. Participate in bridge inspections and perform related structural calculations and layouts.
6. Perform other duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Master's degree in Structural Engineering.
2. Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate or willingness to obtain it for career progression.
3. Familiarity with engineering software such as LEAP Bridge Enterprise, FB-MultiPier, LPile, AASHTOWare BrR, midas Civil, MDX, SAP2000, CSiBridge, ADINA, RM Bridge, spColumn, LUSAS, STLBridgeLRFD, or STLBridge.
4. Experience with MS Office, MathCAD, AutoCAD, LARSA, Prestressed Concrete Design.
5. Experience in bridge/structural design.

Required Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree.
2. Knowledge of engineering software packages including Bluebeam Revu, LEAP Bridge Enterprise, FB-MultiPier, LPile, AASHTOWare BrR, midas Civil, CSiBridge, RM Bridge, spColumn, STLBridgeLRFD, STLBridge, Bently OpenBridge Modeler, or Autodesk Infraworks and Civil3d.
3. Strong computer skills for structural layout and design.
4. Good communication skills and team-oriented attitude.
