Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with structural emphasis.
• EI certification or ability to obtain.
• 0 to 2+ years of structural design experience.
• Experience developing plans and specs using MicroStation.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to perform structural analysis and design.
• Ability to develop complete design packages.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with NCDOT is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis, load development, design calculations, and modeling for transportation projects.
• Design and draft structural elements and details.
• Prepare clear, organized calculations and project deliverables.
• Support development of plans, specifications, and complete design packages.
• Coordinate with project teams and assist with drafting and design activities.
• Complete assigned work within project schedules and budgets.
• Work independently while receiving guidance and mentorship.
• Build technical expertise through exposure to diverse transportation projects.
