Job summary

Benesch’s Raleigh office is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our Bridge team, focusing on design, load rating and inspection of bridge structures. A NC PE and a minimum of 20 years of experience are preferred, with a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment.

Qualifications

  • B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  • PE License in North Carolina.
  • Minimum of 20 years of bridge design, load rating and inspection experience.
  • Experience with Accelerated Bridge Construction (ABC).
  • Experience working with NCDOT and municipalities.
  • Excellent communication and client relation skills.
  • Strong organization and leadership skills with a track record for adhering to design budgets and schedules.
  • Ability to lead complex analysis and design efforts.
  • Ability to assemble a complete design package for assigned elements or projects.

Responsibilities

  • Review contract documents, including structural calculations, plans and specifications for bridge design projects.
  • Manage the process of compiling and coordinating plans, specifications, cost estimates and pay items in accordance with NCDOT standards.
  • Prepare and review bridge load rating reports to NCDOT standards.
  • Plan and perform bridge and tunnel inspections to NBIS and NCDOT standards.
  • Prepare and review bridge and tunnel inspection reports to NBIS and NCDOT standards.
  • Lead structural designers and inspectors on bridge design, load rating and inspection projects.
  • Assume responsibility for assigned design calculation files and plans.
  • Assure adequate independent QC reviews on that work.
  • Assist in the preparation of SOQs, proposals, and contracts.

Bridge Design – Senior Project Manager

Our Raleigh office is looking to hire a Senior Project Manager to join our Bridge team. The ideal candidate will be a licensed PE in North Carolina, have a minimum of 20 years of experience and will work within a team of professionals designing, load rating and inspecting bridge structures. We are looking for someone who is highly and internally motivated, wants to work on complex and engaging projects, and desires increasing levels of responsibility.

This position is based out of our Raleigh office and offers a hybrid work schedule.

The Impact You Will Have
