Job summary

Garver invites motivated civil engineering students to join the Transportation Intern - Bridge program in Little Rock for exposure to bridge design, rehabilitation, and inspection on diverse projects.

You will work in the in‑office North Little Rock Bridge Team, mentored by experienced engineers, and gain hands-on experience with standards and plans using MicroStation. This internship emphasizes growth, collaboration, and community involvement.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a civil engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program.
• Interest in civil engineering in aviation industry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Preferred: experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Design of steel and reinforced concrete structures.
• Learn and apply AASHTO LRFD and related standards.
• Develop bridge plans including layouts, substructures, and superstructures.
• Visit bridge construction sites to relate plans to field work.
• Read design codes and communicate effectively; eager to learn.
