AECOM is seeking a Bridge Design Project Engineer III for the Albuquerque, NM office to support transportation structures design and plan preparation for bridges and related facilities across the Western U.S., including the I-25 Comanche to Montgomery project.

Qualifications

• BS + 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency.
• PE licensure.
• A valid driver’s license and ability to pass MVR checks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare structural designs, plans, specifications and cost estimates for bridges, retaining walls, and drainage structures.
• Provide load rating analysis, rehabilitation concepts and structure type analysis evaluations.
• Use current engineering design software.
• Coordinate with other design teams and disciplines.
• Perform specific and limited portions of broader assignments under supervision.
• Gather and correlate basic engineering data using established procedures.
• Work on detailed or routine engineering tasks involving calculations and tests.
• Propose approaches to solve new problems and identify discrepancies in results.
• Provide guidance to entry level engineers.
• Ensure work aligns with budget and schedule with moderate supervision.
