Qualifications
- Requires a Civil Engineering degree; licensure may be pursued after appointment.
- No prior licensed engineering experience required; training provided.
Responsibilities
- Assist with bridge and structural design activities for transportation projects.
- Review or prepare plans, calculations, specs, estimates, and structural details.
- Perform bridge load ratings and structural evaluations; support preservation activities.
- Provide technical support related to rehabilitation, replacement, or new capacity projects.
- Coordinate with project managers, consultants, districts, and construction staff.
- Review documentation for accuracy and compliance with standards.
- Support development of design guidance, standards, and technical documents.
- Assist with emergency response or technical reviews involving bridges.
