Job summary

EMERY SAPP & SONS is seeking a Bridge Laborer to support bridge and structural concrete construction projects. You will assist carpenters, crews, and operators with deck and footings, perform general labor, and help with forming, pouring, and cleanup on outdoor jobsites.

The ideal candidate has experience in heavy civil construction, works well outdoors in physically demanding conditions, and commits to safety.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience in construction, heavy civil, bridge work or general labor preferred.
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and working in all weather.
Basic math and measurement skills.
Ability to follow directions and work independently or as a team.

Responsibilities

Assist bridge carpenters and operators with deck, walls, columns and footings.
Perform general labor duties: shoveling, lifting, carrying materials and site cleanup.
Support installation and removal of concrete forms and falsework.
Maintain clean and safe work environment and follow safety protocols.
Collaborate with supervisors and staff to ensure project success.
Contribute to continuous improvement of construction practices.
