Job summary

Emery Sapp & Sons is seeking a Bridge Laborer to assist with general labor on bridge and structural concrete projects. You will support carpenters, formwork, and cleanup efforts while maintaining safety on a heavy civil site.

The role requires the ability to perform physical tasks, work outdoors in varying weather, and collaborate with site crews to ensure project progress and quality. Prior construction exposure is helpful.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in construction or heavy civil work preferred.
• Willingness to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist bridge carpenters and operators with construction of bridge decks, walls, columns, caps, footings, and other structural components.
• Perform general labor duties such as shoveling, raking, lifting, carrying materials, and jobsite cleanup.
• Support the installation and removal of concrete forms and falsework.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Collaborate with site supervisors and other construction staff to ensure project success.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in construction practices.
• Other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in heavy civil construction, be comfortable working outdoors in physically demanding conditions, and be committed to maintaining a safe and productive jobsite.
