Job summary

Wagman, Inc. seeks a Bridge Carpenter to join Wagman Heavy Civil, Inc. and perform carpentry duties on bridge demo and rebuild projects under direct supervision. You will build forms, pour concrete, cut and measure wood, and support the project team to meet deadlines.

This safety-sensitive role requires work on construction sites, with drug testing due to federal contracting. Primary location: White Haven, PA; travel open to regional assignments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience as a Journeyman Bridge Carpenter.
• Familiar with bridge construction, form systems, hand and power tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong prioritization and organizational skills; detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Construct forms for molding concrete structures such as piers, footers, retaining walls, abutments, parapets, caps, columns and bridge decks.
• Saw lumber per blueprint dimensions, using handsaw or power saw, and nail lumber together to make form panels.
• Lift and handle built-in-place forms and/or assembles, erects and installs prefabricated forms.
• Pour concrete in forms and decks and assist concrete finishers.
• Build rough wooden structures such as scaffolds, temporary frame shelters, overhang jacks and safety railings.
