Job summary

The Walsh Group, through Archer Western Construction, LLC, is seeking a Bridge Carpenter for the TSENC, NC197 PDB Project in Burnsville, NC. The role involves constructing, erecting, and installing wooden structures for bridges and related components on commercial, industrial, or heavy civil sites.

You will use carpentry hand tools and power tools, work across projects nationwide with our Building, Transportation, and Water Divisions, and advance through training and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years verifiable carpentry experience preferred.
• Ability to climb and maintain balance on scaffolds or ladders.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions.
• Must follow safety policies and procedures and communicate effectively.
• Strong work ethic and desire to learn; good manual dexterity for prolonged positions.

Responsibilities

• Measure distance and mark guidelines for setup.
• Build and install wooden structures per prefabricated units for bridges and related structures.
• Assist with installation of awnings or metal decking where applicable.
• Operate carpentry hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machines.
