Job summary

Shane Co. is seeking an Assistant/Associate Buy Planner (Bridal) to maintain inventory and sales plans, analyze performance, and forecast demand for bridal styles. The role supports budgeting, weekly reporting, and cross-functional handoffs with Merchants and Product Development.

The position emphasizes data-driven decisions, collaboration across teams, and maintaining targeted assortments for distinct markets. Hybrid work is expected with on-site presence in Home Office, Denver market.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years in retail merchandising planning & optimization, demand forecasting, inventory management, pricing analysis, and replenishment buying.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Monitor budgets at subcategory level for each buying group.
• Create planner-generated weekly reporting.
• Summarize, analyze and present actual performance against plan.
• Forecast demand from historical performance and current trends for styles and opportunities.
• Build assortment and inventory plans.
• Monitor inventory conditions and in-stock rates; identify issues and propose solutions.
• Maintain unique assortment per market to meet customer needs.
• Identify underperforming articles and propose discontinuation or markdowns.
• Execute replenishment buys.
• Review minimum quantities and elevate recommendations to Buy Planner.
• Monitor current turn percent and flag items outside company range.
• Collaborate with Assistant/Associate Merchant and Product Development to ensure timely assortment-flow handoffs.
