Job summary

General Shale, Inc. is seeking a Sand Mix Operator at its Mineral Wells, TX facility to prepare and mix brick coating materials according to recipes while maintaining inventory and supporting production goals.

The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and able to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, including lifting up to 50 pounds and operating related equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Read, write and communicate in English; bilingual a plus.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
• Strong attention to detail and good record-keeping.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Dependable with strong attendance.
• Able to adapt to heat and cold conditions.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds throughout shift.
• Ability to pass a fit test and wear a respirator.
• Forklift experience preferred or willingness to become certified.

Responsibilities

• Read recipes and accurately mix materials for brick coatings.
• Coordinate with supervisor to meet production needs.
• Monitor raw material inventory and notify when replenishment is needed.
• Complete production records and documentation accurately.
• Operate forklift safely or obtain certification.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment.
• Assist with inventory counts and material tracking.
• Cross-train in other department positions as needed.
• Follow safety policies including Lockout/Tagout requirements.
• Support plant safety initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.
