Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. is seeking a Plant Utilities Technician 2 to support the operation and upkeep of essential brewery utilities onsite, including the wastewater treatment plant, chemical systems, and CIP processes.

The role requires basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to perform daily analyses, maintain equipment, and assist with maintenance tasks. You’ll collaborate with Maintenance/Engineering to ensure safe, compliant operations.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, brewing/food science or related field.
• 3 years experience in wastewater treatment or related field.
• Mechanical aptitude with maintenance tasks.
• Knowledge of laboratory analysis and water chemistry.
• Proficient with MS Office365.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Capability to perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Basic understanding of pumps, motors and valves.
• Internal certification to operate heavy equipment within 90 days.

Mansioni

• Operate and support the wastewater treatment plant and laboratory analyses.
• Perform daily analyses of brewery water systems and monitor CIP/SIP processes.
• Maintain chemical inventory and ensure safe handling.
• Assist with mechanical maintenance and minor repairs.
• Record maintenance activities in the CMMS and escalate issues when needed.
