Job summary

Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. in Chico, CA is seeking a Plant Utilities Tech 2 to support wastewater treatment, chemical inventory, CIP and boiler systems. You will troubleshoot, repair, and identify solutions for technical issues across the brewery.

The role requires hands-on mechanical aptitude and experience in brewery or manufacturing environments; forklift cert and knowledge of CIP are valued. Compensation ranges from $21.09 to $32.58 per hour, plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in a brewery or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Chemical handling and testing preferred.
• CIP systems monitoring and troubleshooting preferred.
• Forklift Certification within 90 Days required.
• Working knowledge of brewing and CIP systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor wastewater treatment plant and perform water analysis.
• Monitor chemical delivery systems; manage chemical inventory and purchasing.
• Conduct CIP audits and troubleshoot CIP issues.
• Assist with CIP of deaerated water systems and weekly checks.
• Test and maintain water softeners and utility systems; boiler and HRU checks.
• Assist with cooling tower testing and chemical delivery systems.
• Conduct weekly tank top inspections and assist with equipment upkeep.
• Support SOP development and data analysis.
