Job summary

Anheuser-Busch is seeking a Utilities Operator in Alabama to maintain and troubleshoot high-speed brewery utilities in a fast-paced environment. You will work in teams or independently to ensure top quality and uptime, with opportunities to expand technical knowledge and earnings through rotating shifts.

The role emphasizes safety, preventive and predictive maintenance, and continuous improvement, including Lean Six Sigma methods, to keep equipment at peak performance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required and familiarity with automated process control systems is expected.
• Experience with steam boilers, refrigeration, or related utility systems is required.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and perform root-cause analysis (e.g., Six Sigma).

Responsibilities

• Operate brewery utility systems including steam, CO2 collection, ammonia and glycol refrigeration, dehumidification, compressed air, and water.
• Participate in the plant's emergency response and wear PPE per OSHA requirements as needed.
• Perform chemical treatment and maintain water quality for boilers and cooling towers.
• Maintain documentation and respond to events during shift.
• Support process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives (PDCA, Lean Six Sigma).
• Provide maintenance, lubrication, housekeeping, and sanitation duties as required.
• Read piping and instrumentation drawings and interpret P&IDs.
• Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance to improve equipment reliability.
• Assist operating departments with utility system needs.
