Job summary

The Boston Beer Company is seeking a full-time Brewery Representative to cover Central New Jersey, ideally in Monmouth or Ocean County. The role is field-based with travel to accounts, promotions, and retail displays to grow our brand.

You will sell the full Boston Beer portfolio, build relationships with bars, restaurants, and retailers, and work with distributors to expand presence. Salary ranges from $48,000 to $70,500 with discretionary annual bonus.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of proven results-oriented experience in outside sales or within the food & beverages industry.
• Valid driver's license, registered and insured vehicle, and ability to drive to and from accounts continuously.
• Ability to lift and move cases of beer frequently.
• Ability to climb, kneel, and stoop to arrange and display point-of-sale frequently.
• Intense competitive spirit with an assertive, confident personality.

Responsibilities

• Sell our entire Boston Beer Company product portfolio.
• 100% focus on selling products and/or upgrading number of product lines in retail accounts (bars/restaurants, liquor/grocery stores/convenient stores)
• Identify major accounts that are not currently selling BBC products, and develop a plan to establish business with such accounts
• Improve conditions and merchandise accounts by building displays, resetting coolers, and displaying point-of-sale items to increase visibility of the brand
• Partner with distributors to ensure orders are placed, products are received, and business is growing at accounts
• Conduct waitstaff/bartender education, beer tastings, and evening promotions
• Work conditions vary greatly day to day due to customer-facing nature of the role
• May be required to work weekends and holidays to support the needs of the business
• Occasional travel for meetings and trainings
• Regular travel within the market to service retailers and wholesalers

We are currently hiring a full-time Brewery Representative in Central NJ.

The ideal candidate must live in Monmouth or Ocean County, preferably the Point Pleasant, NJ area. Our Brewery Representative works autonomously to develop new accounts and maintain current accounts within the industry. A high emphasis is placed on increasing the availability and visibility of products in new and existing accounts by using consultative sales tactics.

Please note that while this position is listed as “working remotely”, our sales positions are field based and require you to live within the territory listed to visit accounts, unless explicitly stated otherwise.

At the Boston Beer Company and in accordance with pay transparency laws, we are open about our salary ranges. For this role, the salary range is between $48,000 and $70,500. The position qualifies for a discretionary annual bonus based on company and individual performance.
