Karl Strauss Brewing Company in San Diego, CA is hiring a Brewer 1 at the Main Brewery. The role involves brewing, cellar operations, filtration, cleaning and sanitation, equipment maintenance, and supporting training opportunities.

Under supervision of the Brewmaster and Head Brewer, you will operate brewing equipment, monitor fermentation, and help with daily brewery upkeep. A high school diploma and at least two years of brewery experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0r2
• At least two years in a brewery as assistant brewer or brewer.
• Ability to use MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Mechanical aptitude and experience with small tools.
• Clean driving record.
• Physically capable with heavy lifting up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate brewhouse, filters, canning line, and related equipment.
• Monitor fermentation and clean/sanitize tanks.
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the brewery.
• Assist with shift-specific duties and data entry as needed.
