Job summary

Bell & Evans is hiring a Hatchery Transfer Room Attendant in Fredericksburg, PA. This fast-paced role transfers developing eggs from incubator trays into hatching baskets, ensuring quality and animal welfare while supporting the hatchery process.

You will work with a team, load and move materials, operate transfer equipment, and uphold strict safety and sanitation standards. This is a full-time, first-shift position with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Manufacturing, agriculture, warehouse, or production experience helpful but not required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus, but not required.
• Dependable with strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team.
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain consistent quality in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Transfer eggs from incubator trays into hatching baskets according to procedures.
• Handle eggs carefully to maintain quality and prevent damage.
• Load and move trays, baskets, and carts throughout the transfer room.
• Operate transfer equipment as needed.
• Monitor the transfer process and report damaged eggs or equipment issues.
• Keep work area clean, organized, and safe.
• Follow all food safety, animal welfare, biosecurity, and sanitation procedures.
• Report any safety or quality concerns immediately.
